Sourcing Seeds: Then and Now

Cannabis seeds are not hard to find nowadays, but back when I started growing it wasn’t so easy to get your hands on good genetics. When I started growing in the mid seventies, you either went to the source, (Mexico, Panama, etc.) or got your seeds from a sack of brick weed. All weed coming to Missouri back then was seedy so seed was plentiful. The problem was you just never knew what you were growing. Planting seed from good weed didn’t guarantee that what you grew would be comparable, because you never knew what it was pollinated with. It was a crap shoot, for sure.

Now, good seeds are everywhere. You can have excellent genetics sent right to your door, straight from the source, from a vendor, or from a breeder, like me. Vendors are a good option, as long as the seeds are in the breeders packs (in my opinion). I get my seeds for breeding from Seeds Here Now, North Atlantic Seed Company, and DC Seed Exchange, which are all reputable vendors of multiple breeders. Hopefully, we will soon be included in their lineup, as we are currently working on getting listed with one of these vendors!

My goal is to make good genetics available to more people at an affordable price. At Flashback Seeds, we use landrace strains and some hybrids that have been proven to be stable and vigorous to craft our selection of premium cannabis genetics, available on our website at https://flashbackseeds.com/collections/all
